Payments

The discount codes your customers enter at checkout.

You bear the discount. The payment is recorded at the reduced amount — the platform does not make up the difference. That is the first thing to understand before creating one.

The two forms

A code takes off either a percentage (a whole number, 1 to 99) or a fixed amount. Three optional guards frame it:

• a minimum order amount below which it does not apply;
• a cap on uses, across everybody;
• an expiry, in days.

Left blank, they mean no minimum, unlimited and never, respectively.

Retiring rather than deleting

Retire makes a code unusable without erasing it: its usage counter stays readable, and the payments already discounted keep their record. A retired code can be reactivated.
